MUA Undress Mee Too Palette Review and Swatches

Hello beauties,

I've been hearing and reading reviews about MUA Undress Me Too Palette since a long time ago. Many reviews said that MUA Undress Me Too Palette is a very affordable dupe for Urban Decay Naked 2. Since I don't have Urban Decay Naked 2, then I can't do a comparison between them. But I could still do a little review and make several swatches of MUA Undress Me Too Palette.

I accidentally dropped my MUA Undress Me Too Palette before took the pictures of it, so you can see some of the eyeshadows cracked. I tried to manually repressed them with alcohol. Although it wasn't perfect, it seems worked quite well to put the broken eyeshadow together into the eyeshadow pan. The most destroyed eyeshadow is "Dreamy" on the upper right corner.

The palette comes in white plastic packaging with a clear lid, so you can see all 12 shades insides. It has a dual-ended eyeshadow sponges, but I don't have it anymore. The plastic packaging is not so sturdy and feel cheap. But considering the price, this is not a big deal.

The palette consists of 12 shades including 3 mattes and 9 satin/shimmer. The mattes are horrible, powdery and chalky with bad pigmentation. But most of the satin colors are creamy and buttery with decent color payoff. With eyeshadow primer they could be more vibrant and long lasting but unfortunately sheer and easily fade away without eyeshadow primer.

(Upper half swatched above ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer , lower half above bare skin.)
Naked - Devotion - Shy - Fiery - Lavish - Dreamy - Tranquil - Exposed - Reveal - Wink - Obsessed - Corrupt

Naked: matte cream, chalky and badly pigmented, hard to make it visible on swatch.
Devotion: satin light rose-gold color.
Shy: satin pearl color with a touch of pink undertone.
Fiery: satin rose-gold color. A bit darker than Devotion.
Lavish: matte taupey grayish brown color. Reminds me of NYX Blush in Taupe. Very sheer color. I use this for contouring my nose.
Dreamy: satin coppery brown.

First Row:
Naked - Devotion - Shy - Fiery - Lavish - Dreamy

Tranquil: satin light golden brown. Lighter than Dreamy.
Exposed: satin grey color.
Reveal: satin pearl color with light grey undertone.
Obsessed: satin medium brown color.
Wink: satin dark brown color. Powdery and bad pigmentation.
Corrupt: matte black. The worst of all. Powdery, dry, chalky, bad pigmentation.

Seecond Row:
Tranquil - Exposed - Reveal - Wink - Obsessed - Corrupt

Many reviews compare MUA Undress Me Too Palette with Urban Decay Naked 2. Most of them said that on the pan both of them have similar shades but not on the swatches. I do have Urban Decay Naked Palette and adores its soft, creamy and buttery texture with amazing color payoff and long lasting wear even without any eyeshadow primers! I think MUA Undress Me Too Palette is not as good as Urban Decay's but still worth to buy as an affordable alternative for those who's eyeing on Urban Decay Naked 2 but don't want to splurge on it.

By the way...
On several hurry days, I grabbed this palette not only for subtle eye make up purpose but also for face contouring and highlighting purpose. I use Lavish to contour my nose and cheekbone, and Shy to highlighting my browbone, inner corner of the eye, nose bridge, C-area, and cupid's bow. Sometimes I even use Corrupt to fill my brows.

Hope my review is useful for you!
- XOXO -

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Review

Hi all...
I'm gonna review Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream. I never know that actually I'm in love with this BB cream untill I realize that I have been used this almost everyday for more than 3 months.

I started using this BB cream when I was in my acne breakout period last year untill now. It didn't break me out. It makes my skin look flawless during the horrible breakout while still give it a chance to heal. A little goes a long way since now there's still more than a half of BB cream in the jar.

There's a spatula attached on the lid to pick the product inside the jar. Very hygienic and no need for extra spatula. It also comes with a latex sponge but I throw it away because I find it useless.

I used to apply this with my Real Technique Expert Face Brush to get medium to full coverage at the beginning of my acne breakout period, but lately I frequently use my Real Technique Stippling Brush which gives lighter application because my skin getting better and there are less imperfection on my skin. Lately I used Coastal Scent's Powder Buffer Brush from Coastal Scents 22 Piece Brush Set and I really like it because the fluffy brush helps to create a smooth and flawless airbrushed appearence.

PS: Will do a review about Coastal Scent's Powder Buffer Brush from Coastal Scents 22 Piece Brush Set

The swatch on my inner arms. You can barely see the swatch because it really match with my skintone.

Comparison swatch with other BB cream/concealer. See how it really match my skin...

A little product needed for entire my face. Usually a single layer enough to evens out my skin discoloration and cover pores, then add another layer(s) as needed on problematic area. This BB cream makes my blemishes, redness and dark spot much less visible - though I still need concealer to completely cover them all. After applied, I set it with loose powder to get matte finish.

FOTD from here

Pros:
  • The shade I pick - #01 Aqua Beige - match my skintone very well
  • It doesn't grayish and leaves no white cast
  • The jelly-like gel has unique texture that gives a very lightweight "barely-there" layer, just like my second skin
  • A little goes a long way...
  • Easy to spread and blendable
  • Pleasant scent
  • Gives cooling sensation when touches skin
  • Medium to full coverage, buildable without cakey
  • Doesn't fill or sink into my gigantic pores
  • Doesn't oxidize
  • Semi-matte finish, dewy after 4 hours
  • Doesn't break me out, in fact, it helps me through my acne breakout period without
  • Good oil control, it does oily on my T-zone after 6 hours
  • Decent lasting power, I can use this in the morning and it still on my face on 4 - 5 pm
  • Doesn't clog my pores
  • Doesn't accentuate dry patches
  • Has SPF 20

Cons:
  • I wish it comes with a pump
  • The sponge is useless for me
  • The glass container - though it's very cute - is quite bulky, heavy and vulnerable to break if accidentally dropped

Review: Verite UV Multi Cushion SPF50+++ #21 Cover Vanilla

The box, the compact case and the refill.
I've been eyeing on this baby for a while. There are quite a lot of option from various brands beside Verite, there are Amore Pacific, HERA, IOPE, Secret Key, Innisfree, The Face Shop, Etude House etc. I choose Verite because from many reviews I've read on web, it is said that Verite has the most coverage and oil control. Also the packaging are soooo beautiful...

I'm very happy when first time I saw the box. The box is very versatile with metallic golden champange color. It actually quite bulky but still worth coz it contains a compact case plus a refill. The compact case includes a cushion and a puff, while the refill contains a cushion refill plus a puff.

This is the cushion compact case in my palm. It's slightly bigger and thicker than usual compact powder but still not too big. This cushion is quite travel friendly and convenient to carry in my make up purse, so I can easily touch up my make up anytime anywhere with the puff included. No need extra brush, no need extra mirror.
Inside the cushion there is a protector sticker that covers the cushion, to guarantee the freshness of the cushion and also to prevent the cushion dries. After the protector seal removed, you can see the cushion.

I feel it's not wet enough at first when I touch the cushion very lightly, but after adding a little pressure the foundation will ooze from the cushion. The cushion itself is like a foam with numerous tiny holes, reminds me of bee hives... :p

Verite UV Multi Cushion is like a shortcut for complexion make up on my make up routine. I can skip applying sunscreen/sunblock and foundation on top of my skincare routine, just dab dab dab this with the puff. For my taste, this can be a good sun protector or a makeup primer but not a full coverage foundation when you look for coverage. Coverage is medium and buildable. It does provide a nice healthy glow with evening out your complexion, but I still need concealer to cover my stubborn acne scars.

I have shade #21 Vanilla Cover and it matches my skin tone very well. This does have a little cooling sensation when it touches my skin. The cooling sensation fade in a few minutes and it actually finishes with dewy finish on my oily skin. It might resulting semi-matte to semi-dewy finish depending on your skin type/condition. On top of this I put another layer of MAC MSFN #Light Plus because I prefer the semi-matte instead of the super-dewy finish on my very oily skin.

Etude House Face Designing Brightener #1 Wannabe Face

It's heavily raining outside. In the begining of December, it seems that every day poured with rain.
Today I share my review about Etude House Face Designing Brightener #1 Wannabe Face. This is my HG highlighter & face brightener. As its name, it is a face brightener to brighten your complexion.

On my palm. This has a decent size that 'm sure will last long...

The shade I choose, #1 Wannabe Face, is a shimmery champange beige, making itu so natural on my fair complexion. It also has quite a large mirror which is useful sometimes if I want to touch up on the go. It doesn't come along with a brush, which is actually good, bcs I eventually found the brushes included with products are oftenly useless for me. I prefer to use my own brush.

The powder is smooth, finely milled with super fine & almost unvisible shimmer. It has no visible glitters (thank God!!!). On swatch & after blended, it gives a subtle luminous sheen finish appearence.
I use this with powder brush or buffing brush allover my face to brighten my complexion or use it as highlighter with my E.L.F. small tapered brush to highlight my temple, nose bridge, c-area, cupid's bow and chin. Light application allover my face gives me a natural and healthy luminous complexion, just like glowing from lit within appearence on my face. It also buildable without being cakey, and you will never be a disco ball even with heavily handed application.

I do prefer this than The Balm Mary-Lou luminizer, which is too yellow on my fair complexion. I also hate the appearence of micro glitters on Mary-Lpu, making less natural result, With Etude House Face Designing Brightener, I always can add healthy luminous touch while stay being on the natural side.

Have you tried this? Share your thoughts!

XOXO

FOTD - Korean Sweet, Cute & Simple Style

Today my BF came to Jakarta and I planned to pick him up at airport. For this occasion I choosed korean sweet, cute & simple style, put a cute ribbon headband and very simple make up on my face. You can see my bumpy forehead thanks to my periodic hormonal imbalance.

This is taken about 6 hours after application. I forgot to take a picture after application because I was in a hurry that time. Amazing how it stayed on my very oily skin! I didn't blot anyway, but my face wasn't as oily as usual.

Face:
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau #02 Beige Claire
Skinfood Buckwheat Loose Powder #10
Revlon Powder Blush #Tawny Peach

Eyes:
No make up

Eyebrows:
Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil #Black

Lips:
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain #Precious

Anyway, lately I tried SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (FTE) and Stempower cream. Those product are so great! They made my hormonal acne resolved just in a few days. Several inflamed cystic acnes along both my jawlines were reduce in terms of size and rednes, and some of them were really disappear on the 4th day. I also felt that my skin become healthier, looks more radiant, glowing and bouncy, so supple to touch. I think I'm gonna add SK-II to my daily skincare routine regimens. I also start considering to add their Facial Treatment Cleansing Lotion and their Skin Refining Treatment (SRT)  for my oily comedogenous acne prone skin #phewww...

Love SK-II!

Waiting for This Baby......

Image taken from www.ksquaredglamour.org

I've been an Urban Decay junkie and feel no need for a rehab!
With the piles of palettes on my make up stash, I still can't resist this limited edition face case from Urban Decay (>.<)

I bought this from Lapak Mimo @ FD's Market Plaza's Beauty Warehouse, they have this as their ready stock item with price around $55. It's been shipped on Nov 8, 2013 from Surabaya and usually it would take five to seven days to arrived in Ketapang, West Borneo. Can't wait to see and try this baby... Please come to momma soon and safely!!!!!!

Anyway, I'm eyeing for several gorgeous palettes from Urban Decay:
- Anarchy Face Case $44
- Vice 2 Palette $59

PS:
- UD Deluxe Eyeshadow Box is on special price at Beauty.com, they've been tagged half price from $38 to $19... Check this out!
